In this, our inaugural ‘meet-cute’ year of the Kiss & Tell Book Club, we have handpicked eight romance novels to keep your heart racing from May to December.
Together we'll read, discuss and swoon over these gorgeous page-turning love stories which swing from brand new releases to reader favourites, international superstars to Australian gems.

No matter if you are a romance reading first-timer, a once-upon-a-timer, or an all-the-timer, you are most welcome here and we cannot wait to welcome you to the club.

We here at Kiss & Tell celebrate the fact that we all have different reading tastes. Love a cowboy but not so keen on enemies to lovers? Great! Adore witchy heroines but not a fan of second chance romance? Not a worry.
We’ll be offering a wide range of bookish choices over the course of the year, while also recommending so many more romance novels that we have read and loved, so there are sure to be a bunch up your alley.

Reading is not a competition, so if you don’t finish a book in time, or find yourself reading something else that month it’s not a worry! We are a safe, cosy, vibey, fun space for you to read the books that make you feel good.
How it All Started
It was love at first improvisational interpretive dance for Clare Connelly and Ally Blake. The song was Love Shack; the event the Romance Writers of Australia awards night after party, and in that moment a beautiful friendship was forged.
Since then they have shared hotel rooms, brainstormed plot points, celebrated one another’s writing highs, talked books, co-founded the How to Write Academy - a warm, supportive, community and learning space for upcoming writers - and researched story ideas at many a winery.
Ardent advocates for the joy and import of romance novels, Ally and Clare recently represented Mills & Boon Australia for their 50th Anniversary celebrations on numerous platforms––including TV shows ABC News Breakfast and The Morning Show, a multitude of radio talk shows, and the Women’s Weekly.
Between them, Ally and Clare have written over 200 romance novels, selling near ten million copies around the world.
The opportunity to share that love, to read and celebrate tales in which women’s goals and dreams, challenges and triumphs, friendships and pleasures are placed firmly in the centre of the story, has Ally and Clare awash with giddy excitement.

Clare Connelly constantly had a book in hand growing up, and by the time she was a teenager, had turned her attention to writing them. As a child, she adored fairy tales and the Babysitters Club, as a teen it was all about romance novels: anything from Mills & Boon (which she consumed voraciously) to Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer and Jilly Cooper. She is now the bestselling author of more than one hundred and fifty angsty, passionate novels, with her debut Cowboy romance releasing in Australia in March 2026.
In 2023, alongside three other bestselling romance writers, Clare launched the How to Write Academy, a one-stop shop for aspiring genre writers. She passionately believes that with the right support, tools and insight, anyone can write that novel they’ve been dreaming of.
Clare is also the Vice President of Romance Writers of Australia.
